Thanks for the reply, somehow I was not notified of it and I could not reply to you sooner.
The new large font option solved the problem magnificently, also the cursor preview helps greatly when moving around now that I can see it.
As a MS user and developer myself I am collecting feedback on things that are of great impact to the user but hopefully not so much on the development and maybe you can fix some of them relatively quickly in a future version.
Here is the list so far:
1) Copy paste from outside the app
This is imperative, as I am trying to get code from the share section of the website and there is no compatibility with mathstudio 6 file type I found myself unable to copy large scripts into the application.
Access to the global clipboard would alleviate the problem considerably.
2) BUG: Rk4 function does not work properly
It seems that as soon as a trig function which refers to the y coordinate is added the function goes into an infinite loop and the app stops working.
This is true for the web version as well.
The algorithm implementation in the share section works but since I cannot import it in anyway ( load the file,copy/paste the text) and I don't feel like retyping it…
3)Compatibility with script files of math studio
There are a lot of useful resources on the website that I am unable to tap because of some incompatibility.
I thought that .math file were OK and .St extensions were not but it seems that even .math files are not created equal and when I try to open some I get a list of n empty entries.
4) A small one: Where can I see the name of the script I am currently editing?
5)No support for text files
It would be very useful to be able to open file in text format that contain code and give the option to save the code in ms format. It would make it easier to import code snippets.
6) Implement the back button in Android
This is annoying more than anything but still of great impact to the user experience.
On Android it is pretty much ingrained the back button press to go back to wherever I was before the last action.
In ms when I instinctively press it to go back to the previous tab I exit the app. This should change if anything as a sign of consideration toward the Android folks .
7) Edit one parenthesis
I am editing a formula and I have a y that I want to surround with a sin but when I add it I get sin()y and I need to delete one parenthesis
Add a couple
Move the cursor backwards and delete one.
It might seem small but it adds up over time and impacts on the perception of the user experience.
8) This is a curiosity really.
Why releasing math studio express instead of mathstudio 6 for Android ? It is another app to maintain and support that does the same thing and you said that it is not just a mere repackaging of ms 5 but it actually uses the engine of ms 6 for the most part.
9) Following from 8).
Are you going to release ms 6 for Android or ms express is all we get but the two will eventually merge ?
If you do release ms 6 for Android I hope there will be some sort of upgrade path from ms express.
That's it. I spit it all out.
Thanks for your great product and I hope that at least part of this feedback will be useful to you.
